The Reseach Activity

The study of physical phenomena and the analysis of the downscaling process will be the means by which the Research group could develop systems/devices useful for solving/performing the assembly operations. At the present the main research activities focus on:

Contactless Electrostatic Handling
Micropositioners
Measurement
Microrobot

In order to avoid the sticking effect, manipulate micro components which are high sensitive to mechanical handling forces and reduce the problems of wear due to several consecutive manipulations, a contact-less electrostatic handling system has been studied and tested.     read more...
