Ph.D. Workshops 2011
In October/November 2011, the Ph.D. Program in Information Engineering of the University of Pisa will be holding three workshops one for each of the areas: electronic engineering, computer engineering, and telecommunication engineering. These workshops are run by Ph.D. students, who present their research and the most important results they have obtained during the course. The presentations are not intended to be a fully comprehensive review of a student’s work throughout the course. Instead the students and their tutors have chosen a particularly significant element of their research, as would be the case in a congress. For each workshop, the academic board of the Ph.D. program nominated an organizing committee made up of three chairs. The chairs then organize all parts of the programme for the workshop. Below are the names of the chairs and the related curricula:
All the chairs belong to the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Pisa. The workshops will take place at the two branches of the Department of Information Engineering in Pisa, via Caruso (electronic engineering and telecommunication engineering), and Largo Lucio Lazzarino (computer engineering). The activities of the workshops are documented by the book Ph.D. Workshops 2011, which contains the summaries of the presentations, that were prepared by the students in their role as future presenters as part of their preparation for the workshop. A copy of the book is available on request. |
