How to participate
The project work is a fundamental and important home work activity for students of the course on Manufacturing processes. Students are strongly encouraged to take active part in the project work since their involvement will be considered in their final evaluation. Even if the project is presented in all its details during the classes, here are some important issues regarding the participation of students and the role of the teacher:

every year a product is selected by the teacher as the object of the project work. All the technical details of the product are available on the teacher's web site. |

at the beginning of the year the students are asked to join in teams of 3-5 persons. Good criteria to join in a team are the common will to cooperate in the project during the year, the already experienced habit to work together, the same city where the members live, etc. |

as soon as a team has been created the names of the members must be transmitted to the teacher through the proper form . In addition the email address of the spokesman of the team must be given. |

the teacher decides the task for each team and transmits it to each spokesman. The complete list of the tasks assigned and the needed relationships among the teams are available on the project data base. |

each team develops its own task and when necessary uses e mail to contact the related teams. Copies of the messages should be sent to the teacher who can check, coordinate and correct this correspondance. |
|
when a task is completed the results must be transmitted in electronic form to the teacher using the proper formats. After reviewing and eventually requested corrections the results of each task are stored in the project data base in order to be used by the other related teams. |

the teacher and the tutors are available to give advice to the teams during the year. |
